(NASDAQ: YHOO), a leading Internet media company, has licensed Distinct's reusable components to Firewall-enable the latest version of Yahoo! Pager (http://pager.yahoo.com). Yahoo! Pager, a free messaging service that allows consumers to communicate instantly and in real-time with friends, family, colleagues, and others, has fast become one of the most popular messaging and notification applications on the Internet.

The latest version of Yahoo! Pager, which incorporates this technology support, was released on July 30, 1998. To meet the requirements of this project, Distinct customized a version of its Firewall component found in the Distinct Visual Internet Toolkit. Distinct Firewall is one of the many TCP/IP protocols that Distinct has produced in the form of reusable components to provide quick, stable and efficient solutions to companies seeking to make their applications Internet or intranet aware.
