The Distinct LPR component allows an application to programmatically communicate with an LPD server. The Distinct LPR ActiveX control can be used to send print jobs to the printer daemon and retrieve queuing information about the jobs in the queue. Distinct LPR also allows an application to delete a print jobs in a printer queue, and query if a printer is available and ready to accept a print job.
RFC Compliance
All Distinct custom controls are implemented following current RFCs. The Distinct LPR component is compliant with RFC 1179.
